Interesting facts
This is the largest goatfish. It has a pearly white body and a brown stripe that goes from the muzzle to the peduncle punctuated by a spot of the same color. This fish is active both night and day. We find it on the sandy-detritic expanses of the lagoon, in passes, and rarely, on the oceanic slope. It can be found up to 330 feet deep and eats benthic invertebrates.
