Interesting facts
This surgeonfish has a rounded silhouette. Its grey-brown body has three thick, white bands on the front of its body and white points on the back. Its pelvic fins are yellow, its tail black and yellow. This fish is found along the rocky shores and in furrows adjacent to the barrier reef. it can be seen in large school during reproduction season. It eats filamentous algae and calcareous algae.
