Interesting facts
This goatfish is usually found in the lagoon, passes, and the external slope in schools that are sometimes hundreds of individuals large. It is not a very active fish, it eats small worms and crustaceans that it searches for at night, alone, at the bottom. It has bright yellow fins (except the pectoral fin) and a pronounced yellow line from its head to its tail. It also has a small mustache which are actually very sensitive olfactory barbels that allow it to uncover small prey in the sand.
