This goatfish is found in the sandy lagoon zones. It has a white body underlined by a discreet yellow line. Its flanks are stamped with a characteristic black spot. It is rather inactive during the day, but as soon as the night falls, it goes on a search for food. It eats crustaceans, molluscs and worms, and occasionally fish.
