I am Tekura. I'm 26 years old, and I grew up on Takaroa atoll. When I was 12 years old, I left my family to attend secondary school on Tahiti. I currently run a business cleaning public and private gardens. I studied marketing in high school, and afterwards did a variety of small jobs, until I was 23, when I finally decided to open my own business. First of all, I started as a stewardess on catamarans in Polynesia, which I did for 2 and a half years. Then, in 2021 to 2022, I passed certifications for both a captain's license and a snorkeling guide. I also did whale watching tours with local Mo’orea tour operators.
Today, I'm very proud to be a member of Teti’aroa Society and learn more about our Fenua (land). Above all, I'm very grateful for all the people who have shared their knowledge with me. My personal goal, at the moment, is to gain as much experience as possible so that I can share and teach the children of my island home.
